What if the water went away?

An article about Charles F. Barker's new book on the Great Lakes mentions that he teaches geology at Wayne State. He said his goal in writing the book, which discusses the importance of the Great Lakes is "to encourage people not to take them for granted." Political columnist George Weeks also mentions Barker and his WSU affiliation in a column about various measures underway in the state to protect the environment.
